Gravel installation is easily carried out by using the Gravel Setting Tool, which is inserted into the STOP-SAND.
Once the setting tool has reached the end-position inside the STOP-SAND,the emplacement of gravel can begin.
Gravel is pumped by using a low viscous water-polymer mixture.
Should gravel pumping be interrupted because of gravel bridges building-up in the annulus, then the setting tool should be retrieved end the bridges removed by jetting, swabbing and air lifting back-washing before the setting tool is reinstalled.
Gravel pack emplacement is, for itself, a delicate operation, and it may require a repetition of the above described procedure until at least the foreseen calculated volume of gravel is installed.
The simple installation method of the gravel setting tool allows an unlimited number of gravel addition/fillings.
